New to the WVSN lineup is Flashback 70s with The Jim & Lance Show. Airing Saturday mornings at 10:00, Flashback 70s is a tour-de-force of everything 70s. Rock, Country, Pop, and yes, even (gulp) Disco are showcased with personal anecdotes from Jim and Lance. Flashback 70s is more than just back-to-back 70s music. It’s connecting 70s songs and artists in ways you didn’t know. It’s little-known facts about songs you’ve known since you were a kid. It’s the 70s songs you forgot about, and the 70s songs you wish you’d never hear again. It’s everything 70s, delivered in the way that only Jim and Lance can deliver them.
Jim Ferris and Lance Ecklesdafer have been a DJ team since 1992. What started as a chance teaming for a wedding reception grew into a DJ team of note in southeast Michigan. Jim and Lance carved a niche for themselves by donating their time to nearly 60 charity events for the American Cancer Society for 11 years and helping to raise almost $6 Million dollars, earning them the title of the Six Million Dollar DJs. They have been at the forefront of web-based media for over 10 years, becoming one of the first to do live audio - and then video - webcasts. Jim and Lance were instrumental in the move that brought Crazy Al and Larry “The Legend” Matthews to the world of web broadcasting and have been their technical advisors/engineers/gurus since 2003.
By day Jim is a Telecommunications Manager and Lance is a Senior Network Engineer.
